Why Measuring Your Feet Matters

Unlike mass-produced footwear, handmade leather shoes are built around your individual measurements. A few millimeters can make the difference between perfect comfort and unwanted discomfort. Measuring your feet before ordering ensures that your shoes will feel just as good as they look.

Step 1: Draw Your Foot on Paper

Start by placing your foot flat on a piece of paper. Make sure you’re standing upright so your full weight presses naturally on your foot.

With a pencil held vertically, trace the outline of your foot. This gives you a precise shape and shows how your foot expands under pressure — especially important for custom-made shoes.

Step 2: Measure Foot Length and Width

Take a ruler or tape measure and write down the following in centimeters:

  • Foot Length: Measure from the tip of your longest toe to the back of your heel.

  • Foot Width: Measure the widest part of your foot from side to side.
